چکیده
An amidinato-phosphino ligand ArN[double bond, length as m-dash]C(R)NH(o-Ph2PC6H4) (Ar = 2,4,6-Me3C6H2, R = Ph (1); Ar = 2,6-iPr2C6H3, R = Ph (2); Ar = 2,6-iPr2C6H3, R = tBu (3)) was prepared. The ligand reacted with CrCl3(THF)3 to yield the N,P-chelation complex [ArNHC(R)[double bond, length as m-dash]N(o-Ph2PC6H4)]CrCl3(THF) (4-6), and the ligand's lithium salt ArN[double bond, length as m-dash]C(R)N(o-Ph2PC6H4)Li reacted with the respective CrCl3(THF)3 and CrCl2(THF)2 to give the N,N,P-chelation complexes [ArN[double bond, length as m-dash]C(R)N(o-Ph2PC6H4)]CrCl2(THF) (7-8) and {[ArN[double bond, length as m-dash]C(R)N(o-Ph2PC6H4)]Cr(μ-Cl)}2 (9-11). Complexes 1-11 were characterized by IR, NMR (for 1-3), EPR (for 4-11) spectroscopy and CHN elemental analysis, of which 3, 5, 8, and 11 were further studied by X-ray crystallography. Upon activation with an organoaluminum cocatalyst, complexes 4-6 were all catalytically active in ethylene tri-/tetramerization along with ethylene polymerization, and complexes 7-11 functioned as well but in ethylene polymerization. The correlation between the structure and the catalytic properties of the catalyst system is discussed.

Chromium(III) catalysed ethylene tetramerization promoted by bis(phosphino)amines with an N-functionalized pendant.
Several N-functionalized bis(phosphino)amine ligands with ether, thioether and pyridyl tethers [(R'')2PN(R')P(R'')2=PNP] () have been synthesized. They react with CrCl3(THF)3 in CH2Cl2 to give dinuclear chloro bridged Cr2(micro-Cl)2Cl4(PNP)2 () which converts to the corresponding mononuclear solvento complexes fac-CrCl3(PNP)(NCR) (). The structures of the ligand with R'=-(CH2)3SCH3 and R''=Ph, ...
متن کاملDiamido Complexes of Titanium and Zirconium as Catalyst Precursors for Ethylene Polymerization
A series of 8 new complexes of titanium and zirconium with diamido ligands bearing an ethylene and propylene bridge between the two amido groups were synthesized and tested for ethylene polymerization. Titanium complexes bearing an ethylene bridge between the two amido groups showed higher activities than the derivatives with a propylene bridge. In the case of the zirconium complexes, the p...

Ethylene polymerization was carried out using Phillips chromium catalyst based on silica supports such as silica aerogel, SiO2 (Grace 643), and titanium modified SiO2 (G 643), and the results were compared with other catalysts based on SiO2 (Aldrich), SBA-15(Hex), SBA-15(Sp) and MCM-41. A combination of TGA, DSC, XRD, nitrogen adsorption, SEM, ICP, FTIR and other analyses were used to character...
متن کاملSynthesis and Characterization of Constrained Geometry Oxygen and Sulphur Functionalized Cyclopentadienylchromium Complexes and Their Use in Catalysis for Olefin Polymerization.
A series of constrained geometry O-functionalized cyclopentadienylchromium complexes (1-6) and a S-functionalized cyclopentadienylchromium complex (7) were first synthesized, characterized, and tested as catalyst precursors for the olefin polymerization. In the presence of MAO, the complexes exhibited high catalytic activity for the polymerization of ethylene. It is shown that ligand variations...

Novel Cr(iii) catalysts supported by PNPO phosphazane ligands of the type Ph2PN(R)P(Ph)OAr have been prepared, all of which, upon activation with MMAO-3A, are highly active in ethylene tri-/tetramerization with considerable selectivity. The effect of ligand substitution on the catalytic performance has been examined. The Cr precatalyst supported by the PNPO phosphazane ligand with an N-cyclohex...
